Nature Park Vransko Lake
Public institution Vransko Lake Nature Park organizes local products fair called “Garlic and games”, in order to improve connections with local farmers, promote the traditional cultural heritage of the area and local agricultural products.
The fair will be held on 17th July 2016, starting at 18 pm on the viewpoint Kamenjak (Radašinovci village in the Vransko Lake Nature Park), popular tourist destination from where you can enjoy the most beautiful view on whole Vransko Lake and Adriatic islands.
On the Local Products Fair “Garlic and games” farmers from the Vransko Lake Nature Park and the surrounding area will present how to prepare and bake “prisnac” – local specialty of Bukovica and Ravni Kotari and bread under the bell. There will be a wide variety of local agricultural products (onion, garlic, almonds, potatoes, chick peas, spring peas, beans, figs, sheep and goat cheese, bacon, flour, wine, honey, oil, liqueurs, essential oils…), garlic and onion braiding competition and traditional dance and songs presentation. Along with domestic wine and food, for overall good atmosphere in charge is a great local rock band Škabelin.
On the day of the Fair, visitors have opportunity to visit the Vransko Lake Nature Park through the Tour with professional guidance at a promotional price of 25 kn per person (regular price is 40 kn for adults), which also includes a ticket to the Fair “Garlic and games”.
